Move with Mandee: Early Birds, Midweek Exhales & Soulful Sundays | Boutique Yoga & Sculpt in Omaha

Before the sun comes up, after a long day, or on a slow Sunday morning, there is a space waiting for you.

Where are my early birds at?!

There is something incredibly special about moving your body before the rest of the world wakes up. Before the emails start rolling in, before the kids need breakfast, before the meetings, errands, responsibilities, and endless to-do lists begin demanding your attention.

A little pocket of time that belongs entirely to you.

But I also know that not everyone's life allows for a 5:15 AM workout. Maybe your mornings are already overflowing, and what you really need is a Wednesday evening to exhale. Or perhaps Sunday is your sacred day to slow down, move intentionally, and reconnect with yourself before another week begins.

Whatever season of life you're navigating, wherever you are in your relationship with movement, I want you to know that there is a place for you here.

I'm so excited to share our updated in-person yoga and fitness schedule at Moon Dance Wellness Co. in Omaha, Nebraska!

From energizing early morning Yoga Sculpt and Flow classes to restorative Wednesday evenings and soulful Sunday mornings, I've thoughtfully curated a weekly schedule that supports your body, your nervous system, your energy, and your very real, beautifully full life.

Because movement shouldn't be another thing you have to squeeze into your schedule out of obligation.

It should be something you genuinely look forward to.

A boutique yoga and movement experience unlike any other

Let's talk about the space, because it really is something special.

Moon Dance is not your typical yoga studio or fitness center.

Nestled in Omaha, our intimate boutique studio welcomes just 10 students per class, creating an experience that feels personal, spacious, intentional, and deeply connected.

No overcrowded rooms. No fighting for space. No feeling lost in a sea of bodies.

Just you, your mat, beautiful surroundings, and a community of people who have come together to move, breathe, strengthen, soften, and reconnect.

The space itself is something I absolutely adore.

Carey Griffin has created an environment that is both stunning and incredibly welcoming. Surrounded by beautiful artwork from local artist Shiri Phillips, the studio has a warmth and character that make it feel like so much more than somewhere you come to work out.

It's a space that invites you to settle in, take up room, and be exactly where you are.

And one of my favorite things?

All you need to bring is yourself. I've got the rest.

Our studio is fully equipped with high-quality yoga props, bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps, weights, and sculpt equipment.

Whether you're joining me for a sweaty, strengthening Sculpt class, a fluid and energizing Flow, or a deeply nourishing Yin Restore practice, everything you need is already waiting for you.

You don't need fancy equipment, an expensive yoga mat, or the latest workout outfit.

You don't even need to know what you're doing.

You just need to show up.

And I'll meet you there.

Before the world wakes: the magic of early morning movement

I know what some of you are thinking.

5:15 in the morning, Mandee?! Are you serious?

Yes. Yes, I am.

And hear me out, because there is something genuinely magical about those early morning hours.

In Ayurveda, the hours before sunrise are traditionally associated with Brahma Muhurta, a sacred period of quiet, clarity, and spiritual practice. Traditionally occurring approximately 96 to 48 minutes before sunrise, this time has long been honored for meditation, contemplation, breathwork, and connecting with ourselves before the external world begins pulling at our attention.

Of course, depending on the season and when the sun rises, our early morning classes may fall before, during, or after this traditional window.

But the wisdom behind the practice remains.

There is something powerful about beginning your day with intention rather than immediately reacting to everything happening around you.

And while the yogic traditions speak to the spiritual significance of these hours, there are plenty of practical reasons to love an early morning movement ritual, too.

You get to choose yourself before the day chooses for you

How often do we promise ourselves we'll work out later?

After work. After the kids' activities. After dinner. After we finish just one more thing.

And then life happens.

Someone needs something. A meeting runs late. You're exhausted. Dinner needs to be made. The laundry has somehow multiplied.

Suddenly, the time you intended to give yourself has disappeared.

Early morning movement offers a different rhythm.

Before the day begins asking things of you, you've already made time for yourself.

Not because you have to earn your breakfast or burn off yesterday's dinner.

Not because you need to change your body to be worthy of loving it.

But because you deserve to feel strong, energized, supported, and connected to the body that carries you through your life.

Movement can shift the energy of your entire day

Have you ever noticed how differently you move through the world after a really good yoga class?

Maybe your mind feels clearer. Your shoulders aren't sitting quite so close to your ears. Your mood has shifted. You're more patient with your children, more focused at work, or simply a little more comfortable in your own skin.

Regular physical activity can support mood, cognitive function, cardiovascular health, muscular strength, and overall well-being.

And for many people, moving first thing in the morning creates a sense of accomplishment and momentum that carries into the hours ahead.

It's not that morning exercise is inherently better than movement later in the day.

It's that finding a time you can consistently honor makes the practice sustainable.

And consistency, over time, is where so much of the magic happens.

Build strength, stamina, mobility, and confidence

Our early morning Sculpt and Flow classes offer two different but beautifully complementary ways to care for your body.

Yoga Sculpt combines intentional movement with strength-building exercises, weights, and dynamic sequences to challenge your muscles, develop endurance, support bone health, and build functional strength.

Flow invites you to move with your breath, develop mobility, cultivate balance, and create a more fluid relationship between strength and flexibility.

Together, they offer a well-rounded movement practice that supports the way you actually live.

Carrying your children. Lifting groceries. Sitting at your desk. Playing on the floor. Traveling. Gardening. Moving through the world with greater ease.

This isn't about chasing a particular body type.

It's about building a body you feel good living in.

Create a ritual that belongs to you

For the busy mama who spends so much of her day caring for everyone else.

For the career gal juggling meetings, deadlines, and responsibilities.

For the entrepreneur who knows her workday rarely follows a predictable schedule.

For the woman who simply wants one hour of her day where she isn't answering to anyone else.

These early mornings are for you.

You can move, sweat, breathe, laugh, challenge yourself, and head into your day knowing you've already done something meaningful for yourself.

And the best part?

You get to do it alongside a community of people who understand exactly why you're there.

Wednesday evenings: your midweek reset

By Wednesday, the week can start to feel a little heavy.

You've already navigated a few days of work, family responsibilities, schedules, expectations, and the general busyness of being human.

Maybe your body is craving movement.

Maybe your mind is craving quiet.

Maybe you need a little of both.

That's exactly why I love our Wednesday evening offerings.

4:30 PM Yoga Sculpt | 5:30 PM Yin Restore

Two beautifully complementary practices that invite you to move through the second half of your week feeling a little stronger, softer, and more connected to yourself.

4:30 PM Yoga Sculpt: move the energy, build your strength

Sometimes the best way to transition out of your workday is to get out of your head and into your body.

Our Wednesday Sculpt class is an opportunity to move intentionally, challenge yourself, build strength, and release some of the physical and mental tension that accumulates throughout the day.

Expect a thoughtfully sequenced, full-body movement experience combining yoga-inspired movement, weights, strength exercises, and plenty of opportunities to connect with your breath.

Come exactly as you are.

Tired from work? Come.

Feeling energized and ready to move? Come.

Need to shake off a frustrating day? Definitely come.

5:30 PM Yin Restore: soften, surrender, and exhale

And then there's Yin Restore.

A beautiful marriage of Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga, two deeply nourishing practices that invite us to slow down, soften, and reconnect with ourselves.

This class is an invitation to release the constant doing and return to simply being.

Through longer-held Yin postures, supportive restorative shapes, intentional breathing, and moments of stillness, we create an environment where the body can begin to settle and the mind has permission to quiet.

We'll use bolsters, blankets, blocks, and other supportive props to encourage comfort and ease, allowing you to explore the balance between gentle sensation and complete surrender.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, this kind of grounding, quiet, and intentional practice can be particularly supportive when the qualities of Vata, movement, stimulation, and irregularity, have become excessive.

In the language of yoga, we might think of this practice as an invitation toward pratyahara, the gentle turning of our awareness inward.

Rather than asking you to do more, Yin Restore invites you to notice what happens when you do less.

To soften the unnecessary effort.

To create space around tension.

To become curious about the places you've been holding on.

And yes, you can absolutely take Sculpt followed by Yin Restore.

A little strength, a little softness.

A beautiful balance.

Soulful Sundays: slow down, strengthen, and reconnect

I have such a soft spot for Sundays at Moon Dance.

There is something so beautiful about beginning the final day of the weekend with intentional movement, connection, and community.

Before the grocery shopping, meal prepping, laundry, and preparation for another week, you have the opportunity to give yourself a little time.

Our Sunday morning schedule offers three distinct experiences, each supporting a different part of your physical, energetic, and emotional well-being.

8:00 AM Slow Flow: ease into your Sunday

Imagine beginning your Sunday with slow, intentional movement.

No rushing. No forcing. No pressure to perform.

Just breath, movement, and an opportunity to check in with yourself.

Slow Flow is a mindful yoga practice that weaves together accessible postures, gentle transitions, breath awareness, mobility, and moments of stillness.

It's an opportunity to stretch, strengthen, restore your relationship with your body, and create a sense of grounded presence before the week ahead.

Whether you're newer to yoga, returning after some time away, or simply craving a slower practice, this class is a beautiful place to begin.

9:00 AM Yoga Sculpt: strong body, vibrant energy

If Sunday morning is your time to get moving, this one's for you.

Our Sunday Sculpt class combines strength, movement, endurance, and intentional sequencing into a full-body experience designed to leave you feeling empowered and energized.

Expect weights, bodyweight exercises, dynamic movement, and plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself while honoring your own capacity.

I love watching students discover what they're capable of.

Not because they pushed through pain or ignored what their bodies were telling them.

But because they showed up, practiced consistently, and began building trust in their own strength.

There is something incredibly beautiful about that.

10:00 AM Kundalini Yoga: awaken your energy, reconnect with your spirit

And then we move into something a little different.

Kundalini Yoga holds such a special place in my heart.

This practice is an invitation to explore movement beyond the purely physical.

Through intentional kriyas, repetitive movements, pranayama, meditation, mantra, and moments of stillness, Kundalini Yoga invites us to cultivate awareness of our energy, our inner landscape, and our relationship with ourselves.

Some practices are energizing and dynamic.

Others are gentle, meditative, and deeply introspective.

Rooted in yogic philosophy, Kundalini offers an opportunity to explore the relationship between body, breath, mind, and consciousness.

You don't need to be flexible.

You don't need to know how to meditate.

You don't need any prior experience with Kundalini Yoga.

Just come with an open mind and a willingness to explore.

Sunday mornings are an invitation to remember that your movement practice can be so much more than physical exercise.

It can be a place to return to yourself.

More than a yoga class: finding your people

One of the things I love most about teaching is the community that naturally begins to form when people consistently show up together.

You start recognizing familiar faces.

You learn each other's names.

You celebrate milestones, share stories, laugh through challenging moments, and notice when someone hasn't been around for a while.

A studio becomes more than a room where people exercise.

It becomes a place of connection.

And in a world where so many of us are constantly connected through our phones yet craving genuine human interaction, I think these spaces are more important than ever.

I want Moon Dance to be a place where you feel seen.

Where you can walk through the door without feeling like you have to be anything other than who you are.

Where the woman who hasn't practiced yoga in 10 years feels just as welcome as the woman who practices every single day.

Where the busy mom can take an hour for herself without guilt.

Where the woman navigating a demanding career can set down her responsibilities for a little while.

Where different ages, abilities, backgrounds, bodies, and experiences can come together through a shared love of movement.

All ages, all levels, and all bodies are welcome.

Every practice offers opportunities to modify, explore, and meet yourself where you are.

You don't need to be the strongest, the most flexible, the most experienced, or the most coordinated person in the room.

You just need to be willing to begin.

And if you've been searching for a smaller, more personal alternative to the large gyms and crowded fitness studios in Omaha, I would absolutely love for you to experience what we've created here.

Finding the right movement practice for your season of life

Something I speak about often in Ayurveda and yoga is the importance of honoring our individual constitution, our current state of balance, and the changing seasons of our lives.

We are not meant to feel exactly the same every single day.

Some mornings, we wake up ready to move, strengthen, and challenge ourselves.

Other days, our bodies ask for something slower.

Sometimes we need to build heat.

Sometimes we need to soften.

Sometimes we need the structure of a challenging class, and sometimes we need the permission to simply breathe.

This is why I love offering a variety of movement experiences.

Yoga Sculpt, Flow, Yin Restore, Slow Flow, and Kundalini each have their own beautiful qualities.

And when we begin approaching movement with curiosity rather than punishment, we develop a more sustainable, nourishing relationship with our bodies.

Instead of asking, What workout should I force myself to do today?

We can begin asking:

What kind of movement would genuinely support me today?

There is wisdom in learning to recognize the difference.

And there is strength in honoring it.

Can't make it to the studio? Move with me anytime, anywhere.

I get it.

Life is full.

Maybe you have little ones at home, and leaving the house before sunrise just isn't realistic right now.

Maybe your work schedule changes every week.

Maybe you travel frequently, live outside of Omaha, or simply love practicing in the comfort of your own home.

Or maybe you want to complement your in-person classes with additional movement, meditation, and rest throughout the week.

That's exactly why I created the Moon Dancer On-Demand Membership.

Your invitation to move with me

If you've made it this far, maybe a little part of you has been craving something.

A new routine.

A stronger relationship with your body.

A space where you can move without judgment.

A community that feels welcoming and real.

An hour that belongs to you.

Or simply an opportunity to begin again.

Whatever brought you here, I want you to know that you don't have to wait until life slows down to make space for yourself.

Because if there's one thing I've learned through years of teaching, practicing, motherhood, entrepreneurship, and navigating the beautifully unpredictable nature of life, it's that there will always be something competing for our time and attention.

There will always be another responsibility.

Another email.

Another load of laundry.

Another reason to put ourselves at the bottom of the list.

And while I know that getting up before the sun isn't everyone's idea of a good time, I also know how powerful it can be to create a ritual that reminds you that you matter, too.

Not just as a mother, partner, professional, caregiver, or all the other roles you move through.

But as you.

A whole person deserving of movement, rest, joy, strength, connection, and time to simply be.

So, where are my early birds at?

Where are my Wednesday evening reset gals?

My soulful Sunday crew?

Whether you're joining me at 5:15 AM with sleepy eyes and a willingness to move, rolling out your mat for a Wednesday evening exhale, or making Sunday morning your sacred time, I cannot wait to welcome you.

Come for the movement. Stay for the community. Return for the way you feel.

I'll have the mats, props, weights, and everything else ready.

All you need is yourself.

With love,

Mandee
