School of Sacred Wisdom Level 1: Root • Rise • Rewild • Radiate

The School of Sacred Wisdom has lived in my heart for years.

It has been shaped by more than a decade of study, practice, teaching, questioning, healing, unraveling, and beginning again. It has grown from the teachings that have carried me through some of the most transformative seasons of my life—and from my desire to create the kind of school I believe sacred study can be: deep yet accessible, rooted yet expansive, structured yet alive.

I am so incredibly excited to finally watch this school begin, grow, and evolve.

This is not simply a collection of lectures. It is not another surface-level yoga course, and it is not a program focused only on postures, memorization, or earning a title.

The School of Sacred Wisdom Level 1 is an immersive journey into the art of embodied living—where ancient wisdom meets modern life and what you learn is invited to become part of how you live.

More Than a Yoga Teacher Training

Level 1 is for those who want to teach, those who already teach, and those who simply want to deepen their personal practice.

You do not need a previous yoga teacher training to begin. You do not need to be able to perform advanced postures. You do not need to arrive knowing exactly where this journey will lead you.

If you already have a 200-hour certification, beautiful. This experience can deepen your knowledge, expand your teaching, and reconnect you with the heart of your practice.

If you have never completed a yoga training, beautiful. You will be supported in building a strong, multidimensional foundation.

If you want to teach, amazing. You will explore the knowledge, skills, practice, observation, and teaching experience needed to begin guiding others with greater confidence and integrity.

If you do not want to teach, that is equally welcome. This wisdom is worthy of study simply because it can transform the way you understand yourself, care for your body, navigate your life, and relate to the world around you.

You do not have to turn your healing into a career for it to be valuable.

What You Will Explore

The School of Sacred Wisdom brings together teachings and practices from Yoga, Ayurveda, Kundalini, Tantra, meditation, astrology, anatomy, subtle anatomy, philosophy, ritual, nervous-system awareness, and embodied self-inquiry.

Level 1 does not center around one lineage or style of yoga. Instead, you will experience a diverse range of traditions and approaches, discovering how each offers a different doorway into the body, mind, energy, heart, and spirit.

Throughout Level 1, you will explore:

  • Yoga philosophy and the deeper purpose of practice

  • Asana, alignment, accessibility, cueing, and intentional sequencing

  • Ayurveda and the relationship between your constitution, digestion, lifestyle, seasons, and well-being

  • Anatomy, physiology, functional movement, and the intelligent design of the human body

  • The chakras, nadis, koshas, vayus, and subtle-energy systems

  • Western and Vedic astrology as tools for reflection, timing, and self-understanding

  • Meditation, pranayama, mantra, mudra, ritual, and energetic awareness

  • Trauma-aware teaching, consent, boundaries, nervous-system regulation, and the creation of safer spaces

  • The art of holding space with integrity, presence, compassion, and discernment

  • The role of personal practice, self-study, ritual, and sadhana

  • Teaching methodology, class creation, music, theming, pacing, sequencing, and the energetic arc of a class

  • The relationship between knowledge, lived experience, and true embodiment

The Many Paths and Practices of Yoga

Throughout the program, we will touch on a variety of yogic practices, including:

  • Vinyasa Yoga: Creative, breath-led movement, intelligent sequencing, thoughtful transitions, class arcs, and the relationship between effort and flow

  • Slow Flow Yoga: Mindful movement, spacious pacing, intentional transitions, nervous-system awareness, and deeper embodiment

  • Yin Yoga: Longer-held postures, functional anatomy, the fascial system, sensation, stillness, energetic awareness, and the practice of surrender

  • Restorative Yoga: Deep rest, prop-supported postures, nervous-system regulation, receptivity, and creating the conditions for restoration

  • Yoga Nidra: Guided yogic sleep, sankalpa, the layers of consciousness, the koshas, and practices that support profound rest and inner awareness

  • Kundalini Yoga: Kriya, mantra, mudra, pranayama, meditation, subtle anatomy, and practices designed to awaken, move, and direct energy

  • Tantra Yoga: Embodiment, consciousness, meditation, sacred relationship, energy, and the recognition that spiritual practice can be woven into everyday life

  • Bhakti Yoga: The yoga of devotion expressed through mantra, chanting, prayer, ritual, reverence, and opening the heart to something greater than the individual self

You will not simply learn what these styles are—you will experience their distinct qualities and explore the wisdom beneath them. You will begin to understand how different practices can support different bodies, intentions, seasons, energy levels, and stages of life.

For those who feel called to teach, this multidisciplinary foundation will help you create more intentional, accessible, and meaningful experiences. You will have space to discover what resonates with your authentic voice while learning how different styles can be thoughtfully woven together without losing their individual purpose or integrity.

For those who are here to deepen their personal practice, these teachings offer multiple pathways inward. Some days you may need movement, heat, and expression. Other days you may need stillness, devotion, rest, reflection, or the transformative power of breath, mantra, and energy.

There is no single way into Yoga.

Each practice becomes another doorway—and throughout Level 1, you will be invited to explore which doors are asking to open for you.

These teachings are not presented as separate or isolated subjects. You will begin to see how they speak to one another: how anatomy informs alignment, how Ayurveda influences daily practice, how philosophy shapes the way we live and teach, how the nervous system affects our capacity to feel safe, and how ritual transforms ordinary moments into opportunities for presence.

The intention is not to give you more information to collect.

The intention is to help you develop wisdom you can live.

Root • Rise • Rewild • Radiate

The journey through Level 1 is held within four guiding pillars.

Root

Root into the foundations of Yoga and sacred living. Build a relationship with practice, philosophy, embodiment, self-awareness, and the wisdom traditions that form the heart of this school.

Rooting asks you to slow down, listen, and become honest about where you are. Before we can rise, we must be willing to meet the ground beneath us.

Rise

Rise into your power, your voice, and your capacity to live and lead with greater intention. Begin trusting your experience while developing the knowledge and discernment needed to share these teachings responsibly.

Rising is not about becoming superior or performing spirituality perfectly. It is about remembering that you are allowed to participate fully in your own life.

Rewild

Rewild the conditioning, fears, expectations, inherited patterns, and untruths that have separated you from your instincts and inner knowing.

To rewild is not to become reckless. It is to return to what is real. It is the courageous process of questioning what you have been taught, releasing what no longer belongs to you, and creating a more honest relationship with yourself.

Radiate

Radiate what has become embodied within you.

This may happen through teaching, but it may also happen through the way you parent, lead, create, communicate, care for yourself, hold space, move through difficulty, or meet another person.

Radiance is not performance. It is what naturally begins to emanate from you when your outer life becomes more aligned with your inner truth.

What to Expect

Much of Level 1 is available on demand, allowing you to learn anytime and anywhere. You can return to lectures, pause to take notes, revisit complex teachings, and move through the material in a way that honors your real life.

Inside the student portal, you will find an evolving library of:

  • In-depth educational lectures

  • Yoga, Kundalini, meditation, breathwork, Yin, restorative, and embodiment practices

  • Written teachings and supportive resources

  • Reflection questions and journal prompts

  • Teaching tools, demonstrations, and practice assignments

  • Anatomy and physiology education

  • Opportunities to apply what you are learning through personal practice, observation, and teaching

New lectures and resources will continue to be added as the school grows. This is something I deeply love about the School of Sacred Wisdom: it is not meant to remain frozen in time. It is a living school that can continue expanding alongside its students, faculty, community, and the questions that emerge through our shared study.

You will also have live-stream office hours where we can come together for questions, conversation, case studies, teaching support, and deeper exploration. These sessions create space to move beyond the recorded material and engage with the places where wisdom meets real life.

Learning Through Practice

Sacred wisdom cannot be fully understood through intellectual study alone. It must be experienced, practiced, questioned, and integrated.

Throughout Level 1, you will be invited to move beyond simply watching lectures and collecting information. Personal practice, reflection, class observation, experiential assignments, and opportunities to apply what you are learning will help bring the teachings to life.

You will explore what you notice physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually while developing a more consistent and intentional relationship with your practice. Reflective journaling and self-inquiry will support you in recognizing how the teachings are unfolding within your own life.

You will also learn to observe yoga classes through a new lens, noticing the thoughtful details that shape an experience—including sequencing, pacing, cueing, accessibility, presence, music, philosophy, consent, boundaries, and the overall energetic arc of a class.

For those pursuing the teaching pathway, practice teaching and a final practicum will offer opportunities to bring the different elements of the program together. You will be supported in creating an intentional class while developing your confidence, discernment, and authentic teaching voice.

Additional assessments and completion requirements will help ensure that you are not only engaging with the material but truly understanding and embodying it.

You are not expected to arrive knowing how to do all of this.

That is why you are here.

A School That Will Grow With Us

I want to be honest about something that makes this beginning especially meaningful to me: this school is alive.

It has a strong foundation, a growing student portal, a deeply intentional curriculum, and so much wisdom already waiting inside. It will also continue to evolve. New lectures, practices, conversations, guest teachings, case studies, and layers of exploration will be added over time.

I do not see that as the school being unfinished. I see it as the school being living.

Sacred wisdom has never belonged only to a textbook or a single teacher. It has always grown through relationship, practice, conversation, experience, and the willingness to continue learning.

You are not simply entering a course. You are becoming part of a community that will continue growing for many years to come.

I cannot fully express how much that means to me.

An Investment in Who You Are Becoming

When you invest in the School of Sacred Wisdom, you are investing in far more than access to a student portal.

You are investing in your relationship with yourself.

You are investing in a deeper understanding of your body, energy, patterns, rhythms, beliefs, and inner world.

You are investing in a practice that can meet you through seasons of change, grief, growth, uncertainty, creativity, healing, and transformation.

You are investing in knowledge that can continue serving you long after the program is complete—in your personal practice, your relationships, your work, your teaching, your leadership, and the way you move through your life.

This is more than a training.

It is a deep dive into sacred teachings.
It is a commitment to practice.
It is a return to your inner wisdom.
It is an invitation to remember what lives beneath the conditioning.
It is a journey of awakening, empowerment, and embodiment.

An Accredited Path of Study

The School of Sacred Wisdom is an accredited yoga school through the American Yoga Council, and Level 1 is an American Yoga Council–accredited Yoga Teacher Training program.

This means that once you successfully complete the Level 1 curriculum and all graduation requirements, you will receive your certification through the School of Sacred Wisdom and be eligible to register with the American Yoga Council, submit your completed training for verification, and pursue recognition as an AYC Level 1 Yoga Teacher.

I chose the American Yoga Council intentionally because its approach recognizes that meaningful yoga education cannot always be measured by counting hours alone. Rather than requiring every school to fit its teachings into a single standardized model, the AYC evaluates programs according to their demonstrated competencies, educational structure, scope of practice, accountability, and the unique traditions and lineages they represent.

This allows the School of Sacred Wisdom to remain true to its multidisciplinary foundation—honoring Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, Kundalini, Tantra, Bhakti, Ayurveda, meditation, astrology, philosophy, anatomy, and subtle anatomy—while still providing students with a clear, credible, and professionally recognized path of study.

The AYC describes Level 1 training as preparation for new yoga teachers. Its credentialing system is designed to reflect what a graduate has actually learned and is prepared to do, rather than relying solely on the number of hours accumulated. Accountability is built into the accreditation process, and accredited schools receive feedback on how their programs meet the standards established for their unique scope and lineage.

What American Yoga Council Registration Can Offer You

After completing Level 1, registering with the American Yoga Council can help you begin establishing your professional presence as a yoga teacher. Depending on the membership level you choose, benefits may include:

  • A professional yoga teacher profile where you can share your biography, influences, training, specialties, and website

  • Inclusion in the AYC teacher directory and searchable teacher map

  • The ability to connect your profile with your teachers, mentors, school, and lineage

  • Verification of your completed School of Sacred Wisdom Level 1 credential

  • An AYC-verified teaching level and certified-expertise recognition

  • The ability to promote workshops, retreats, courses, and other yoga offerings

  • Access to business coaching and educational opportunities

  • Member discounts and access to group-rate yoga teacher insurance options

  • Legal and professional resources designed to support working yoga teachers

  • Opportunities to build professional connections within the wider yoga community

The American Yoga Council currently offers different membership levels, including a free option with foundational profile and directory features and paid options with expanded credentialing and professional benefits. Credential verification and some additional features may require a paid membership or separate verification fee. Because benefits and pricing may evolve, graduates should review the AYC’s current options when they are ready to register.

Registration is not required for students completing Level 1 solely for personal growth, nor does a professional directory listing define the depth of your practice or determine your worth as a teacher. It is simply an additional pathway available to graduates who want their education formally verified and connected to a broader professional organization.

Level 1 therefore holds two intentions at once.

It provides a structured, accredited educational path for those who feel called to teach, while remaining expansive and welcoming for those who are here to deepen their practice, reconnect with themselves, and bring sacred wisdom more fully into their lives.

This school was never created simply to help someone collect another title or certificate. Accreditation provides structure, credibility, accountability, and professional opportunity—but the heart of the journey is what happens within you.

A certificate acknowledges what you have completed.

Embodiment reveals what you have truly learned.

You Are Welcome Here

Maybe you have dreamed of becoming a yoga teacher for years.

Maybe you already teach but feel called toward greater depth.

Maybe you have a certification but know there is so much more you want to understand.

Maybe you have no interest in teaching and simply want to learn, practice, heal, and grow.

Maybe you cannot fully explain why this school is calling you—you simply feel that it is.

You are welcome here.

Come curious. Come uncertain. Come experienced. Come brand new. Come exactly as you are.

I am so honored, humbled, and excited to open the doors to the School of Sacred Wisdom Level 1. This dream has lived inside my heart for a long time, and watching it take form has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

Now, I am ready to watch it begin.

I am ready to watch it grow.

I am ready to see what it becomes through the people who enter it, practice within it, question alongside it, and carry its wisdom forward.

And if you feel called to be part of its beginning, I would be deeply honored to welcome you.

Root into your truth.
Rise into your power.
Rewild your spirit.
Radiate your essence.

A School Designed to Weave Into Your Life

One of the questions I hear most often from people considering the School of Sacred Wisdom is:

“Do I actually have time for this?”

Maybe you're raising children. Running a business. Working full-time. Taking college courses. Teaching classes. Caring for a family. Moving through a season of transition. Or simply trying to create enough space in your life to breathe.

I understand.

And that is exactly why I created the School of Sacred Wisdom differently.

Your Education Should Support Your Life, Not Take It Over

I don't believe meaningful study needs to require putting the rest of your life on hold.

The School of Sacred Wisdom was intentionally created to be primarily on-demand and go at your own pace, giving you the freedom to move through Level 1 in a way that works with the life you're actually living.

There is no expectation that every student will move through the program at the same speed.

Some seasons may allow you to immerse yourself in several lectures, practices, and assignments in a week.

Other seasons may look like listening to one lecture while you drink your morning coffee, taking one yoga class, spending twenty minutes with your journal, or simply maintaining your personal practice while life asks for more of you elsewhere.

You are not behind.

You are learning how to make sacred study part of your life.

Learn Anytime, Anywhere

The majority of the Level 1 curriculum lives inside your student portal, where you can access lectures, practices, educational materials, reflections, and coursework on your own schedule.

You might study early in the morning before the house wakes up.

Listen to a lecture between clients.

Practice after the kids go to bed.

Spend a quiet Sunday afternoon diving deeply into a subject that has captured your curiosity.

Or move through several lessons when you suddenly find yourself with more space.

Rather than asking you to reorganize your entire life around your education, the school gives you the flexibility to weave your education into your life.

Live Connection Without the Pressure to Be Everywhere

Self-paced does not mean you are studying alone.

Each month, students will receive a schedule of live opportunities including lectures, classes, office hours, Q&As, case studies, conversations, and other opportunities to gather, practice, ask questions, and explore the teachings together.

Come live whenever you can.

And when life inevitably happens, many of these offerings will be recorded and added to the student portal so you can return to them when the timing is right for you.

The live components are there to deepen your experience and create connection, not to create anxiety around attendance.

Take the Time You Need

There is no prize for racing through sacred study.

In fact, some of the most important learning happens between the lectures.

It happens when something you studied suddenly appears in your practice.

When a teaching follows you into a conversation.

When you recognize an old pattern differently.

When philosophy moves from something you intellectually understand into something you can actually feel.

When Ayurveda begins changing the way you understand your rhythms.

When yoga becomes more than what happens on your mat.

When Tantra, Kundalini, astrology, anatomy, philosophy, and embodied practice begin speaking to one another instead of existing as separate subjects.

This is integration.

And integration requires time.

I would rather you move slowly and truly digest what you are learning than rush through the curriculum simply to finish.

Built for Busy Humans

This school was created for the mama with a full household.

For the business owner squeezing study between responsibilities.

For the college student already balancing coursework.

For the yoga teacher who wants to deepen their knowledge while continuing to teach.

For the person working a traditional full-time job.

For the student who has never taught yoga and simply feels hungry to understand these teachings more deeply.

For the person whose available time changes from week to week.

You don't need a perfectly organized life before beginning.

You need curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to return.

Depth Without Urgency

The School of Sacred Wisdom is not asking you to consume more information as quickly as possible.

It is inviting you into a relationship with the teachings.

Root into foundations that give your practice depth.

Rise into greater knowledge, awareness, and confidence.

Rewild the conditioning, beliefs, fears, and expectations that have pulled you away from your own inner knowing.

Radiate what you have learned through the way you practice, teach, lead, live, and move through the world.

That kind of education cannot be rushed.

So take the lecture.

Take the class.

Read the chapter.

Practice.

Journal.

Ask questions.

Step away when life becomes full.

Come back when you have space.

Go deeper when something calls to you.

Your education does not need to compete with your life. It can become part of the way you live it.

That is the rhythm of the School of Sacred Wisdom.

And you have permission to move through it in your own time.
